I wanted to put up something special for the holidays. Something that would encompass most all the characters I’ve featured in my animations and covers for Disko Warp. What better way to approach this then have all the characters enjoying the frosty weather in the towns ice rink!

I’d like to thank fans of my work for a great year! I put out three animations this year that I’m proud of. Here is to many more great works in the future! I hope you guys are there every step of the way.

Mega Man Tribute artbook has been released!

Hitting stores this week, UDON Entertainment recently released their Mega Man Tribute art book. The art book features hundreds of artists of every imaginable style showing their love for the blue bomber! It features renditions from Mega Man Classic, Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man ZX, and Mega Man Legends! I’ve mentioned it before on my Deviantart, but the book features my very own piece “Wily Paradise“.

You can order the softcover version of the book on Amazon, or the hardcover version directly from Udon’s online store. Local book stores and comic shops should be getting the book later this week!

Finally have been working on some character profiles!

Something I’ve been meaning to do for awhile, now I’ve finally done it! What is it you ask? Why it’s to showcase the many characters seen in my various animations as character profiles! I just finished up the first set. These characters where featured in the video I did for Disko Warp’s “Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire” song.

Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire – Male Vampire

First up is the main protagonist of the animation! The sexy vampire himself. I wanted to point out traits and items that represent each characters uniqueness. The male vampire is a happy go lucky guy, despite the problems he has encountered in the past (he has no right arm!) and his constant struggles running from the hunters.

Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire – Female Vampire

Second is the female vampire. This is the already turned version of the character. Originally she doesn’t have fangs, pointed ears, or sunken eyes. Once she is bitten, these appear. The original idea for this character that I had revolved around making a cute looking go-go dancer. I like how she turned out!

Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire – Male Hunter

The third character, in the set, moves away from the vampires and onto the hunters. The male hunter means serious business. I wanted to reflect this by his demeanor and pose. Yet in all his seriousness, he is unable to ever successful deal with the vampire! I really enjoy Castlevania games, so given the opportunity to make vampire hunters, I wanted to reference the Belmont’s for this character. He has his “old reliable” whip, impaler pike, and carries stake bombs at all times. Quite an arsenal!

Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire – Female Hunter

Continuing with the hunters, we have the female hunter. She is the last in the “Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire” set. Along with the male hunter, both of them have medical insignia on them. This is to show kind of where they come from and what they do. The female hunter is more of the mastermind behind the hunter group. She has good aim with the stake bombs, and also knows how to work the many inventions/devices they work with. This includes the “fright radar”, which is essential to finding vampires!

I hope to continue making more of these character profiles. I’ve had a few people interested in cosplaying some of my characters, so I hope this helps you guys in your endeavors. These profiles are a thanks to all my fans for enjoying my works and continuing to support me. Thanks again for everything!

Belly of the Beast, new digital art piece!

Now that I finally have “U.F.O. Catcher” out the door, I can concentrate on some more art projects before I begin another animation. I decided to draw a piece related to the animation. I wanted something frantic that didn’t just centered on a certain character, yet contained all the characters in the piece.

Here is my first art piece of 2010. “Belly of the Beast” is the name of the claw game featured in the animation, so I thought it would be cool to name this piece after that. I hope you guys like it!

A moon and a bird, two new ink drawings

I recently completed two new ink drawings. I’m slowly preparing for the spring Olympia Artswalks by creating some new pieces. Hopefully I find the time to get everything put together. The first of these two pieces is titled “Iapetus”, which is named after the “two-tone” moon of Saturn. The second piece is called “Paradisaeidae” which is the genus for a bird of paradise. With my ink drawings, I try to go for a more abstract approach instead of realistic. I think they both came out pretty good. These are fun to do in order to take a break from digital work.

Just saying Happy Halloween to everyone out there! I decided to draw another Sexy Vampire piece in time for the occasion. This one focuses on one of the final scenes from the animation, one that I really haven’t delved into since animating it. I decided to title this piece “Summon ☆ Vampir”, since it is when the character just learned to use her new found powers.

Dragons and hedghogs oh my!

I’ve been in an ink drawing mood lately. I decided to take a small break from digital stuff to get this ink fever out of my blood and created a couple new pieces.

I used to raise african pygmy hedgehogs, so I thought it would be a perfect animal to draw! I know in other countries there are a lot of wild hedgehogs that like to wander around in gardens and such, so I wanted the piece to reflect a hedgehog hiding in a garden. This first piece reflects this…

The second pic, I was listening to the Ryu – Starmine album and it made me think… why haven’t I drawn a dragon yet? I figured it would be a good subject. So I decided to go with Seiryu, one of the four guardians in Asian culture. This is the Japanese name for the dragon who guards the eastern part of the country and represents spring. Its also one of the alias used by Ryu.

I wanted to make it look as if the dragon was flying in the clouds, perhaps its flying around fireworks. Hopefully you guys perceive it differently.

A sad little “Deadbeat Boyfriend” related piece

Since I usually draw a picture that relates to my animations, I’ve finally decided to do one for “Deadbeat Boyfriend”. I drew one previously, “Bash Pow Deluxe”, that focused on the puzzle game featured in the animation. Heres one that features the actual characters from the animation. Its title “It Seems Like Forever Ago”. Hope you guys enjoy!

I also recently re-uploaded the Deadbeat Boyfriend animation on Youtube. The one I previously uploaded wasn’t a format that Youtube likes, so it ran really choppy. This one should run alot better.

I actually threw this on my gallery a few days ago, but never made a post. I wanted to draw a new Jack Maverick related pic. This one features Seijo Klienes and Mains Uji in a battle! I gave them a tank awhile ago, but never really polished it up. Hopefull you guys like it!

I felt like drawing a piece related to the puzzle game featured in my Deadbeat Boyfriend animation. This piece has the characters Rhek and Cho battling for blocks!

I think the meld of colors came out good in this one. Very blue skies-ish. I’ll probably get to drawing a piece with the Deadbeat Boyfriend characters soon too.
