I’ll be bringing with me shirts, buttons, key chains, charms, and a few prints. Artist alley for the convention will be located in the Red Lion hotel and will be open the following times.

In addition to artist alley, Disko Warp is throwing an official pre-party at Pop Culture in Vancouver. More information, in addition to RVSPing for the event can be found here. There will be dancing, puzzle fighter, and food/soda up for sale from the venue. Should be a good time!

So, if you are coming to Kumoricon, be sure to say hi or streetpass my 3DS.

There will be plenty of stuff available for those interested. Disko Warp will have multiple cds available for purchase including a new Kawaii-Core cd filled with the best tracks from 2009-2011. I will have whatever is on my online store (shirts, key-chains, charms, puzzles, etc) in addition to prints, and a few new charms that are not available online. Artist alley is open all three days for the following hours…

I also entered the AMV contest with Space Space Shooter, but I’m not sure if it made it in or not. I’ll post more details about that later on if it does, in fact, get in.

This is what I came up with! I wanted to stray away from the traditional use of Game Boys, and represent the Emerald City-ness of Seattle more. I also still wanted it to retain an old school gaming/8-bit look, but without a crazy amount of pixel art. I think the colors/tone of it came out nice!

For many years, chiptune musicians from lands far and wide have gathered at the gates outside of PAX. Using portable gaming consoles, these lo-tek buskers would blast their hand-crafted 8-bit tunes onto the streets of Seattle time and time again. Slowly but surely, the humble 8-bit minstrels won the hearts of PAX attendees, who danced and cheered as bleeps and bloops filled the Autumn air.

Now, charmed by their talent and persistence, the beneficent rulers of PAX have opened their doors to these plucky lo-fi performers, and granted them a special chiptune music showcase to take place this year inside the PAX JamSpace! Come indulge your ear drums and pump your fists to the sounds of Fighter X, Spamtron, Seanbad, Knife City and Zen Albatross at the first-ever PAX Prime Chiptune Music Showcase !

For those going to PAX Prime 2010, this event is on Saturday at 1pm in the Jamspace area. If anyone is going to this, let me know, maybe you’ll see me there, heh.

I had my hand in designing the cd layout for this release. It features a cool character design by Chevi. Some of the albums vocalists will be at the booth as well.

I managed to submit my animation for “UFO Catcher” as an OAV for the AMV contest too. It isn’t running in the competition, but it is going to be shown in the exposition. I believe the contest is on friday, starting at 4p. So if you want to see my work on the big screen, be sure to check, check, check it out!

I’m going to be also selling a brand new “Less Than Three” shirt, which mixes pink/brown-ish inks on a light blue tee. Right now I’m just waiting to get my hands on them. If I get them before the con starts, I’ll have them for sale… if not, they will be available online at a later date. I’m getting both Woman’s fitted and Unisex sizes for this design.

The Penny Arcade Expo is also this weekend, which as I’ve stated before, I’ll be attending. They are going to have a Capcom store this year, which should be sweet. I plan on finally talking to The Behemoth/Newgrounds folks too if I can.

I’ve been drawing some new stuff too, just haven’t got around to doing anything digital yet. Hopefully I’ll be starting on another animation soon too.

For those going to PAX or Kumoricon, I hope you all have a safe trip. Should be a fun weekend for all!

As for the convention itself, it was really good this year. I checked out a few panels, the expo hall, and played some Pop’n Music a bunch!

During friday’s dance, a new Disko Warp Records remix was played as well. It’s an unreleased mix of “Don’t Don’t Go Away” in a very hardcore style. You can catch it in this video at around 6 min. I believe it’ll be out soon. I just didn’t expect it during the dance.

It was a pleasure to meet Veronica, Hanna, and Dick (one of the producers). I got to go backstage during part of the concert too, which was cool. I also drew up a couple of pictures to personally give to them.

Hopefully next year is even better! I believe its taking place in early April. If I do artist alley again, I’ll be sure to let you all know. Thanks again for a wonderful convention.
