Come visit me at Sakura Con 2011 Artist Alley

Figured I would make a post about this now. Sakura Con is pretty much next week (April 22-24) in Seattle, WA. I managed to get into artist alley this year. I’ll be sharing my booth with Disko Warp Music. On Saturday I’ll be joined with my brother, he’ll be promoting his Rune Hunters comic.

There will be plenty of stuff available for those interested. Disko Warp will have multiple cds available for purchase including a new Kawaii-Core cd filled with the best tracks from 2009-2011. I will have whatever is on my online store (shirts, key-chains, charms, puzzles, etc) in addition to prints, and a few new charms that are not available online. Artist alley is open all three days for the following hours…

ARTIST ALLEY HOURS
Friday – 12 PM –10 PM
Saturday – 9 AM –10 PM
Sunday – 9 AM –3 PM

I also entered the AMV contest with Space Space Shooter, but I’m not sure if it made it in or not. I’ll post more details about that later on if it does, in fact, get in.

My second collaboration with Seattle-based chiptunes/electronic artist and vocalist LEENI.

This is a conclusion piece to the “Headphones On Your Heart” animation I did a couple years ago. It’s a short which involves Leeni getting summoned into the 8-Bit Heart game world. She finally gets to leave reality behind and jump into an almost dream-like world. But who, or what, has summoned her there?

Thats right, I’m sharing a booth with Disko Warp at Sakura Con 2010 in Seattle, WA. I will be having buttons, prints, keychains, and shirts for sale in the expo hall. Booth 718 I believe.

If you are planning on going, you should come check us out! Disko Warp will also have some shirts, the Disko Warp Best Hits cd, and a brand new anime/cover mix “Anime Love Hardcore” available before its officially released. I had my hand in designing the cd layout for this release. It features a cool character design by Chevi. Some of the albums vocalists will be at the booth as well.

I managed to submit my animation for “UFO Catcher” as an OAV for the AMV contest too. It isn’t running in the competition, but it is going to be shown in the exposition. I believe the contest is on friday, starting at 4p. So if you want to see my work on the big screen, be sure to check, check, check it out!

I’m going to be also selling a brand new “Less Than Three” shirt, which mixes pink/brown-ish inks on a light blue tee. Right now I’m just waiting to get my hands on them. If I get them before the con starts, I’ll have them for sale… if not, they will be available online at a later date. I’m getting both Woman’s fitted and Unisex sizes for this design.

My last post details some of the things I’d be doing at the con. Just posting before I head off tomorrow to Sakuracon.

I would like to note that I, in conjunction with Quon, drew a couple special pics for SMiLE.dk for this event. Heres a small sample of one of the pics character designs!

I’ll be at my artist alley booth on friday/saturday. I’m not too sure about sunday though. If you decide to come, be sure to check out my booth! I have buttons/shirts and prints!

Also, a quick note, I closd my store for the weekend, it will be back up on monday. This is just so I don’t have to worry about any new orders while I’m gone for the weekend.

To anyone going to the con, hope you all have a safe trip to and from, it should be a fun time!

I decided to continue making more pieces based on my animations. I wanted to dig more into the game world present in “Headphones On Your Hearts”, so I drew a pic featuring all the creatures in the world. You have crazy flying fish, loch-ness monsters, strange UFOs and of course the main enemies featured in the animation.

Its a little documentary that my brother and his girlfriend put together of our escapades at this last years Sakuracon anime convention. Its part of Team BRU, which is a small gaming site I help run.

Its that time again, time for Sakuracon, my local big name anime convention. I’m going to be attending again this year to just have some fun. I also entered Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire into the AMV contest as an OAV. To my surprise, its being shown second on the playlist. The AMV show is set to happen the friday of the convention at about 8:30p.

Also thanks to my friend Phylicia for posting about this. She is distributing a limited number of demo CDs, yours for free, exclusively at the Para Para Dance Panel!! First come first serve!

Attending the Penny Arcade Expo!

So I guess come August 24th, I’ll be attending the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle. It looks to be pretty cool this year, with nearly triple the amount of exhibitors. I believe the Capcom arthouse Udon will be there as well.

The Newgrounds guys will also be in attendance with The Behemoth to display Castle Crashers. Should be good stuff! I’ll be sure to right GoshaDole on my nametag, so if anyone who visits me site decides on going, be sure to say hi. Yup~!
