Belly of the Beast, new digital art piece!

Now that I finally have “U.F.O. Catcher” out the door, I can concentrate on some more art projects before I begin another animation. I decided to draw a piece related to the animation. I wanted something frantic that didn’t just centered on a certain character, yet contained all the characters in the piece.

Here is my first art piece of 2010. “Belly of the Beast” is the name of the claw game featured in the animation, so I thought it would be cool to name this piece after that. I hope you guys like it!

Dragons and hedghogs oh my!

I’ve been in an ink drawing mood lately. I decided to take a small break from digital stuff to get this ink fever out of my blood and created a couple new pieces.

I used to raise african pygmy hedgehogs, so I thought it would be a perfect animal to draw! I know in other countries there are a lot of wild hedgehogs that like to wander around in gardens and such, so I wanted the piece to reflect a hedgehog hiding in a garden. This first piece reflects this…

The second pic, I was listening to the Ryu – Starmine album and it made me think… why haven’t I drawn a dragon yet? I figured it would be a good subject. So I decided to go with Seiryu, one of the four guardians in Asian culture. This is the Japanese name for the dragon who guards the eastern part of the country and represents spring. Its also one of the alias used by Ryu.

I wanted to make it look as if the dragon was flying in the clouds, perhaps its flying around fireworks. Hopefully you guys perceive it differently.

A sad little “Deadbeat Boyfriend” related piece

Since I usually draw a picture that relates to my animations, I’ve finally decided to do one for “Deadbeat Boyfriend”. I drew one previously, “Bash Pow Deluxe”, that focused on the puzzle game featured in the animation. Heres one that features the actual characters from the animation. Its title “It Seems Like Forever Ago”. Hope you guys enjoy!

I also recently re-uploaded the Deadbeat Boyfriend animation on Youtube. The one I previously uploaded wasn’t a format that Youtube likes, so it ran really choppy. This one should run alot better.

New animation coming along…

Heres a quick screen cap from my new animation! I revealed the girl in my Sakuracon poster earlier. I figured I’d give you guys a clearer pic of her in full color! I’m starting to progress nicely on the animation. I’m not sure when I’ll get it done, but its coming along.

I’ll leave you for now with this picture. I’ll be sure to post some more as I continue the animation. For now just enjoy this happy girl!

Jack Maverick pic… “There’s No Tomorrow, Just Today”

Heres a brand new Jack Maverick related piece. It’s titled, “There’s No Tomorrow, Just Today.” I wanted to have a battle pic of Jack versus Jake, something epic looking. I also wanted to put them in a more colorful place. Hopefully I can sit down and write up a small story revovling around Jack Maverick soon, its always been a personal project of mine.
